by Shoo RaynerRead this in mind to use with my Year 3 class (aged 7-8) for our Saxon and Viking topic.
This is a wonderful book for it is aimed for younger readers, it is funny and has lovely characters (I know my children will particularly like Flek the dog!)
I aim to use this book in our Guided Reading time with a low-ability reading group, these children are ready to read chapter books that will challenge them but give them confidence at the same time. The pictures are wonderful, and the sentence structure and layout of the book is great for younger readers. I only wish the pages were in colour, as it would make the book even more wonderful.
Would highly recommend for children.
